Emily Wilson
Emily was born and raised in Westminster, Colorado. She attended Chapman University in Orange County, California where she received her Bachelors Degree in Television Production and Broadcast Journalism. After graduating, she worked as a segment reporter for the KTLA Morning Show, before moving to Los Angeles where she began her career as an actress and television host. She has played the role of ‘Ellie Trout’ on ABC’s GENERAL HOSPITAL since 2012. She was a series regular on two seasons of MTV’s DISASTER DATE, and had a recurring role on Aaron Sorkin’s THE NEWSROOM. She has also guest-starred on CASTLE, BONES and Disney’s PAIR OF KINGS, as well as HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, ENTOURAGE, CSI:NY, and NCIS. On the film side, Emily was most recently one of the leads in Fox Digital’s TENURED, which premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival. Other film credits include MEET THE SPARTANS, THE HOUSE BUNNY, and the independent feature THE SECRET LIVES OF DORKS. Her work as a journalist include hosting shows for Fox, Disney, MTV, NBC, Warner Bros., and GSN. Emily is a passionate philanthropist. From an early age, volunteering and being active in her community has been an important part of her life.
