  • There are about 428,000 children in foster care on any given day in the United States 1
  • Over 8,000 of those children live in the state of Massachusetts.2
  • During 2015, 269,509 children entered care – that translates to a child entering care every two minutes in the United States 3
  • Of those children in care, 111,820 children were waiting to be adopted on September 30th, 2014 4

  • Treehouse Foundation has shared their intergenerational community model with 20 states around the country, so that one day every child will have a permanent home. 6
  • Treehouse MetroWest Boston and the first Treehouse California Community just outside Santa Clara are planning to open in 2020, serving dozens of families and transition age youth. 7
