Cucumber/Dill Salad

Ingredients

  • 6 Large Cucumbers
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Dill Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon
  • A pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Peel and cut cucumbers to thin slices
  2. In a large bowl mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, lemon and salt
  3. Add cucumbers to other ingredients and coat well
  4. Refrigerate for an hour before serving

Simple Garden Fresh Pasta Salad

  • Ingredients
    2 boxes Rotini Pasta
  • 1 Bottle of your Favorite Italian Salad Dressing
  • Garden Fresh Veggies like:
    • Cherry Tomatoes
    • Bell Peppers
    • Green Beans
    • Carrots
    • Anything else you have growing…

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta as instructed on the package
  2. Let pasta cool on the counter or in the refrigerator
  3. Chop your vegetables (excluding cherry tomatoes if they are small) in to bite size pieces
  4. Mix vegetables and pasta together. Toss with bottle of your favorite Italian dressing
  5. Refrigerate for two hours before serving

Garden Fresh Herb Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoons salt
  • 4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Crisco (Vegetable Shortening)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Buttermilk
  • Your Favorite Herbs from the Garden – Parsley, Chives or Dill

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Mix all dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda) in a bowl
  3. Cut in the Crisco into the flour (watch a video of how to cut fat into flour here)
  4. Chop up your herbs and add to bowl
  5. Add egg, cheese and buttermilk to bowl
  6. Gently stir until just mixed.
  7. Drop 2 inch round dough onto an ungreased baking sheet
  8. Bake 425 for 10 to 15 minutes
