John and Tom D’Eri
John and Tom D’Eri are strong advocates of the movement to capture the untapped resource that is people with autism. Having seen the struggles that John’s son and Tom’s brother Andrew, a vibrant individual with autism, faced in finding a job, they knew that there must be a way to help. Together they founded Rising Tide Car Wash, a groundbreaking social enterprise and high-quality car wash experience.
They also founded CanDo Business Ventures (www.candobiz.com), a company dedicated to designing, testing and deploying businesses that can provide sustainable employment for adults.
The D’Eri’s recently launched Rising Tide U, a separate entity from Rising Tide Car Wash. Rising Tide U’s goal is to inspire and teach others to put the potential of those with autism to work through building sustainable social enterprises.
